Ask to connect eBay. Shelvio shows a button that opens eBay's own sign-in page. Your eBay password never touches the chat.
Tell your assistant what to list it at. Shelvio brings in the shipping and return settings you use for eBay.
eBay verifies the listing first. The preview shows the category, condition, every item specific, shipping, returns, and fees, plus anything to fix.
That press is the only thing that publishes. If your assistant cannot show Shelvio's card, you finish on the Shelvio web app instead.
Batches you captured on your phone, listings you edited on the web, and items you listed last month all show up. Ask what is not listed yet, what sold, or what is sitting in a given bin.
Listed something on Facebook Marketplace or Poshmark yourself? Ask for that marketplace’s version of the listing, post it, and tell your assistant when it is up or sold. Your Shelvio records stay complete.

Your assistant can get a listing all the way to ready. The List on eBay button in Shelvio's preview is what publishes it, so nothing goes live by mistake.
You allow access with your Shelvio sign-in and can remove it anytime from your assistant's settings. No passwords go into the chat.

Shelvio can plug into AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude. Once it is connected, your assistant can see your Shelvio items and do reseller work for you when you ask: write a listing from photos, fill in what eBay needs, change a price, or record a sale. You talk normally; the assistant uses Shelvio behind the scenes.

Claude Free includes one custom connector. ChatGPT does not include full custom MCP actions on Free; OpenAI documents the full workflow for Business and Enterprise/Edu, with Pro limited to read/fetch. Your Shelvio allowance is separate from your assistant plan.

In ChatGPT, attach photos of the item right in the chat. In Claude and other assistants, Shelvio gives you a link to add the photos on the Shelvio web app, or you can paste links to photos that are already online. One item at a time works best.
Not yet. In chat, the price is yours: Shelvio asks what you want to list at and uses that. Your assistant may offer its own estimate if you ask, and it should say that is its estimate. Price Checks with recent sold prices are in the Shelvio app and on the web.
eBay goes all the way: connect your eBay seller account from the chat, prepare the listing, and list it. For Facebook Marketplace, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, and Etsy, Shelvio gives you copy styled for that marketplace to post yourself, and records where the item is listed and what it sold for when you tell it. Shelvio does not post to those marketplaces.
You sign in with your Shelvio account when you connect. If you do not have one, it is created on your first request. The first time, you also allow AI processing once in the Shelvio app or on the web. Listings you create from an assistant count toward the same plan as listings you make in the app, and everything shows up in the app and on the web.
Only your own Shelvio items, and only after you sign in and allow access. It never sees other sellers, and Shelvio does not give it buyer names, addresses, or messages. Private notes and voice transcripts stay out of chat. You can disconnect anytime in your assistant's settings.
Shelvio uses your photos to create your listings and does not let its AI providers train on them. What you type or attach in an assistant is also covered by that assistant's own privacy settings, so check them if you have not. Our AI & Data page has the details.
Use a computer browser for the ChatGPT and Claude setup guides. OpenAI currently documents custom MCP connections as web only. Claude’s remote connectors are available across its clients.
Shelvio will not help list prohibited items such as weapons, drugs, tobacco or vapes, or counterfeits. It only reads and changes your own items, and it does not buy anything for you.
