Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 30, 2026
Shelvio is a product of Martinsburg Design, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Shelvio mobile application and website (collectively, the "Services").
By using Shelvio, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information. When you create an account by signing in with Apple or Google, we receive basic profile information from those services, which may include your email address and name. If you sign in with Apple, you may choose to hide your email address, in which case Apple provides us with a private relay address.
Guest Access. On iOS, you can use Shelvio as a guest before creating an account. We do not receive your name or email when you use guest access. Instead, we create a workspace linked to your device using Apple's App Attest and DeviceCheck services, which let us verify that requests come from a genuine Apple device without identifying you personally. If you later sign in, your guest workspace and its data are linked to your account.
Product Photos. When you use Shelvio to create draft listings, we store the photos you upload. These photos are retained until you delete the associated listing or delete your account.
Voice Recordings. When you use voice input to describe your products, we process your audio to generate text. The recording and its text transcription are stored with the listing so you can replay and review them. They are retained until you delete the associated listing or delete your account.
Listing Content. We store draft listing content, such as titles, descriptions, pricing notes, item details, and changes you request, associated with your account until you delete the listing or your account.
Connected Marketplace Information. If you connect an eBay account, we receive and store your eBay account identifier, encrypted authorization credentials and granted permissions, connection and seller readiness status, and the seller settings and policy identifiers needed to prepare and publish listings. We do not receive your eBay password.
Marketplace Search and Listing Data. To show active eBay asking-price comparisons and prepare marketplace details, we send product search terms and relevant item facts to eBay's APIs. When you choose to publish or withdraw a reviewed eBay listing, we send the listing information needed to carry out your request, which may include its photos, title, description, price, category, item specifics, condition, shipping, and return settings. We store the resulting eBay listing identifiers and status with your listing.
Device and Usage Information. We automatically collect device identifiers, IP addresses, general location data, browser or app information, and usage patterns to operate and improve the Services.
Payment Information. We do not directly collect or store your payment card information. Payments are processed by Apple (App Store), Google (Play Store), or Stripe (web), depending on how you subscribe. We receive only confirmation of your subscription status.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the Services, including generating draft listings from your photos, notes, and item details
- Connect your eBay account, check seller setup, retrieve relevant marketplace information, and publish or withdraw reviewed listings when you direct us
- Communicate with you about your account, updates, and marketing (with your consent)
- Analyze usage to improve features and user experience
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
AI model training. We do not use your photos, notes, listings, descriptions, or other listing content to train AI models. Our AI processing providers are not permitted to use the content we send them to train their AI models.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with the following categories of service providers who help us operate Shelvio:
- Cloud infrastructure providers that host our servers, database, and file storage.
- Third-party AI providers (currently Google) that process your photos, voice recordings, item and listing details, and typed or spoken change requests to generate and edit drafts, transcribe voice notes, and help prepare marketplace details. These providers act as data processors on our behalf and are not permitted to use your content to train their AI models.
- eBay, when we use its APIs to retrieve marketplace information or when you connect your account and direct us to prepare, publish, or withdraw a listing. eBay processes this information under its own User Privacy Notice.
- Authentication providers that manage secure sign-in.
- Payment processors that handle subscriptions. They receive payment details directly; we do not.
- Subscription management providers that track your plan status across platforms.
- Error monitoring providers that help us identify and fix bugs.
- Email providers that send transactional and marketing communications.
- Analytics providers that help us understand how users interact with our services.
- Apple device integrity services (App Attest and DeviceCheck) that verify requests come from a genuine device and help prevent abuse of the free listing allocation. DeviceCheck stores a small per-device flag with Apple that persists across app reinstalls and contains no personal information.
We require service providers that process information on our behalf to protect it consistently with this policy and applicable law. When you direct us to send information to a marketplace such as eBay, that marketplace also processes it under its own privacy policy and your account relationship with it.
Consent to AI processing. Before your photos and voice recordings are sent to the third-party AI providers listed above, we present a contextual disclosure that identifies the provider and purpose and ask for your permission. Opening the camera after native camera access succeeds or choosing existing photos is your affirmative choice to grant that permission. It also covers related listing details and changes you later choose to submit for draft editing and marketplace preparation. You can withdraw permission at any time from the app's settings, after which we stop sending your content to these providers. New generation and AI-backed editing or preparation are unavailable until permission is granted again.
We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account information and listing data for as long as your account is active. Photos, voice recordings, transcriptions, and content associated with a listing are deleted when you delete that listing. When you delete your account, we delete all associated data, including photos, voice recordings, transcriptions, and listing content. Guest workspaces that are never linked to an account are deleted, along with their media and listing data, after an extended period of inactivity. Some information may be retained in backups for a limited period or as required by law.
5. Your Choices and Rights
Delete individual listings. You can delete any listing from your dashboard, which removes the associated photos and data.
Delete your account. You can delete your account at any time from within the app. This permanently removes your account and all associated data.
Delete guest data. If you use guest access, you can delete your guest workspace and all of its data at any time from the app's settings without creating an account.
Marketing emails. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email.
Disconnect eBay. You can disconnect eBay from the app's settings. This removes the eBay authorization credentials, account identifiers, seller settings, and policy identifiers stored with your Shelvio connection and stops future access to that account. Disconnecting does not remove listings already published on eBay.
If you are a resident of California or another jurisdiction with specific privacy rights, you may have additional rights regarding access, deletion, or correction of your data. Contact us at privacy@shelvio.ai to exercise these rights.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Age Requirement
Shelvio is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a user under 18, we will delete that information promptly.
8. Geographic Scope
Shelvio is designed for users in the United States and Canada. We do not currently offer the Services to users in the European Union or other regions. If you access the Services from outside the United States or Canada, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the app before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when this policy was last revised.
