How Shelvio uses AI, and what happens to your photos and voice.
Shelvio uses Google Cloud to turn your photos, voice notes, and item details into draft listings. This page explains what gets sent, what we keep, and the control you have.
Your content is used to help you, and nothing else
Used only to create and edit your drafts
Your content is used to generate and edit drafts and help prepare marketplace details. Google acts only as a processor and does not use your content to train its AI models.
Your originals stay with your listing
Your photos and voice notes stay with the listing so you can review and replay them. They are removed from the active service when you delete the listing or your account; the Privacy Policy explains limited backup and legal-retention exceptions.
You decide, and can change your mind
Before your first real capture, we explain what is sent and ask for your permission. You can turn processing off anytime in Settings and turn it back on whenever you like.
What happens when you create a listing
You give consent
Shelvio shows a short disclosure that identifies Google Cloud and says opening the camera or choosing photos gives permission to send your content. Once camera access succeeds or you choose existing photos, Shelvio records that choice. Nothing is sent to Google Cloud until you give permission.
Your content is processed
Your photos, voice notes, and item details are sent to Google Cloud's AI services, which write the draft and transcribe your voice. When you request an edit or marketplace preparation, the relevant listing details and instructions are also processed. Google acts on our behalf and does not train on your content.
You get your listing
The finished draft appears in the app. Your photos, voice note, transcript, and listing stay together so you can review, replay, and edit them until you delete the listing or your account, subject to the limited backup and legal-retention details in our Privacy Policy.
What we send, keep, and remove
Sent to Google Cloud: product photos, voice notes, item and listing details, and typed or spoken changes you request. They are used to generate and edit drafts, transcribe voice, and help prepare categories, item specifics, and other marketplace details.
Kept by Shelvio: your photos, voice notes, transcripts, and draft listing content stay with your account so you can review, replay, and edit them.
Removed when you delete: deleting a listing removes its stored photos, voice note, transcript, and listing content. Deleting your account removes the content associated with the account, subject to the limited backup and legal-retention details in our Privacy Policy.
For the complete legal details, see our Privacy Policy.
